Back to Bordeaux

I'm back! It's been 6 months since my last visit and this time I get to stay for an entire 6 months. Im official- visa and all.

Alors, this first posting (of many) is a compilation of Bordeax life from my first 2 weeks here:
it's good to be back in my French hometown.

A visit to Bergerac and mareine.

Bergerac 8/20/2009

One lovely summer's day, we took a trip with Leo's family to visit his godmather (mareine) in Bergerac. I was stoked because I remembered a little history of Bergerac... it's where Cyrano was from...

You know, the guy with the big nose and the wit to match it? Here he is, immortalized as a staute.

A sky that goes on forever

Mareine did not want to make an appearance in any of the photos; she's camera-shy. But she did let me take this picture Leo made her- when he was 7. Yowza.

On this visit, Leo and I made her this drawing. Well, I did the coloring and Leo did the drawing. Leo as a tot.

all in all, another awesome day spent in the French country. it was so nice to be walking on a path right next to the river. So many people were chilling on benches or playing outside with their friends. cool seeing so much life outside.

a weekend at the sea

This weekend (oct 3,4) we went on a nice getaway to St. Jean de Luz. I think that's how you spell it. Anywho... a grand time fun in the sun and fun in Spain too.
